Assimilation of Spiritual Knowledge

I have read loads and loads concepts of self improvement. Be it in the managerial front or in the technical front or in the spiritual front. Now it is high time I assimilate all of them, whatever I have learnt from all of them, It is a good thing to learn things which are important but all these readings become a farse if you do not implement it. So the first thing I have to do from now on is to practice the innumerable good things that I have read.
The most important thing that I have learnt is to live in the present and enjoy whatever is available. Both thinking about past and future are not conducive they either bring in lethargy (Tamasik) or too much passion (Rajasik). Neither of which is actually good. Most important thing is to LIVE IN THE PRESENT, LIVE IN THIS MOMENT. The future generally comes before you can actually think of it. What will you get in future ?? More money?? goodlooking wife ?? Will all the problems vanish then ?? The answer to all these questions is only NO. Never will the problems cease to arise and never will you be free to attain. It is good to think of these as a game, a game we are playing where there are no winners and no losers. We are playing just for fun. We are working because we wanna have fun. This is called "Leela Khela" in bengali. We are playing and the rules are to set by me. This is the way to remove all attachement if it is all fun and games. You can think of this as a picture we are trying to paint. We can paint them as we want.
One more point comes repeating time and again from Gitas is to leave the desire. I have the right to work but I dont have the fruits of it. It is these desires which accumulate and that is the source of all pain. Dont have any expectation, If there is some expectation cropping up, go and surrender it to God. There is nothing more than that. You have to get rid of the desires by hook or crook.
